When Derek Stingley arrived at LSU in December and took part in Fiesta Bowl prep, coach Ed Orgeron said he wished Stingley could suit up and play against UCF. Tigers fans got to see why on Saturday.
The 5-star freshman from Baton Rouge came away with an impressive interception on a deep ball from QB Joe Burrow, which can be seen in the video below:

A Dunham School product, Stingley was rated the No. 1 cornerback and No. 1 Louisiana product of the 2019 recruiting class on the 247Sports Composite.
