WATCH: Actor goes viral for hilariously bad football throw; tries to explain himself

Hollywood actors aren’t the best at emulating high-level athletes, but sometimes, things get taken to hilarious new lows.

That was the case on Tuesday, when a clip of actor Robbie Amell went viral for his awkward and painful-looking throwing motion.

Check out the tweet below and watch how Amell throws the football during this clip from his movie:

Things aren’t always what they seem in Hollywood, though, so it’s not fair to judge Amell based on that clip alone. Indeed, he took to Twitter after the video went viral to explain himself:

Still not a great throwing motion, but miles better than what made the final cut for the movie. Maybe he can put it in his next movie contract that he doesn’t want to look like a doofus while throwing a football?
