Hurricane Harvey hit the Houston area hard, leaving devastating flooding and damage in its wake and destroying the homes of many residents.

As the city tries to rebuild, Houston Texans rookie QB Deshaun Watson is doing what he can to help out.

The former Clemson star decided to give his first NFL game check to help some stadium employees who were seriously affected by the storm.

As you can see in the emotional video below, the employees were surprised and grateful that the team’s young quarterback went out of his way to help:

This was a classy gesture by Watson, and he’s not the only Texan helping the city to recover. Star DE J.J. Watt raised an incredible $37 million to help the city he now calls home.

Watson’s impact on those employees’ lives will never be forgotten, just like Watt’s impact on Houston will be felt for years to come.
