WATCH: Wisconsin QB somehow fumbles twice on the same play

The Wisconsin Badgers are without starting QB Alex Hornibrook on Saturday at Northwestern and things aren’t going well for backup QB Jack Coan.
The Badgers have lost three fumbles, though one play in the second half should have counted for two fumbles.
As you can see below, Coan drops a snap as he’s executing a play fake, picks it up, scrambles up the middle and then fumbles once again:

The weather doesn’t appear to be fantastic in Evanston, but it also doesn’t appear to be raining, so it’s not clear why Coan was having so much trouble with the ball.
Perhaps those tricky Wildcats substituted a greased-up football when no one was looking?
