Every week throughout the season, weโ€™ll provide some video highlights of the SECโ€™s top commits.

SEC COMMITS

Najee Harris, RB, five-star Alabama commit (Antioch, Ca.)

No. 1 Alabama ran all over No. 20 USC on Saturday night, and the Crimson Tideโ€™s always-potent running game doesnโ€™t look like itโ€™ll drop off in the coming years.

Harris ran for 209 yards and 4ย TDs on 34 carries despite Antiochโ€™s 49-28 loss to Milpitas on Friday night. The No. 1 overall player in the nation fumbled a couple times but showed off his blend of vision, strength and quickness on this 9-yard scoring rumble.

The 6-foot-3, 226-pound Harris calls to mind former Alabama running back and 2015 Heisman Trophy winner Derrick Henry, a bruising back of similar stature. The Crimson Tide commit rushed for 5,007 yards and 59 touchdowns over the last two seasons, and he doesnโ€™t appear to be slowing down any time soon.

Dโ€™Andre Swift, RB, four-star Georgia commit (Philadelphia, Pa.)

Alabama isnโ€™t the only team looking primed to continue its excellence at running back.

One day after verbally committing to Georgia, Swift had a huge game as St. Josephโ€™s prep thrashed Oaks Christian (Ca.) 49-17 on Friday night at the Honor Bowl in Mission Viejo, Ca. The No. 37 overall player and No. 4 running back amassed 296 total yards (175 receiving, 121 rushing) while racking up 4ย touchdowns.

Swift got to work right away, bouncing off a few defenders to turn a bubble screen into a 90-yard touchdown on the first play of the game. He later flashed some nifty moves on a 62-yard scoring scamper in the third quarter, as shown in this video from the Los Angeles Daily News.

Swift is a tad undersized at just a shade below 5-foot-10, but his combination of soft hands and athleticism makes him a signature offensive recruit for defensive-minded Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart.

Jake Fromm, QB, four-star Georgia commit (Warner Robins, Ga.)

Thought Georgia was set at running back for the next recruiting cycle? If Frommโ€™s brief but promising senior season is any indication, the Bulldogs might be even better off at quarterback.

The Houston County signal-caller went 27-of-37 for 502 yards and 3ย TDs onย Friday night, guiding his team to a 50-27 win against Eagleโ€™s Landing. He added a 13-yard touchdown scramble and sat out the fourth quarter just 95 yards from the GHSA single-game passing record, per The Telegraph.

Fromm has outplayed his rankings (No. 49 overall, No. 4ย pro-style quarterback) so far, completing 73.3 percent of his passes for 1,361 yards and 11 touchdowns in only three games, all wins for Houston County.

Jamyest Williams, CB, four-star South Carolina commit (Loganville, Ga.)

South Carolina coach Will Muschampโ€™s rebuilding effort got a huge boost when Williams chose the Gamecocks over suitors like home-state favorite Georgia and Clemson on Aug. 27.

The 5-foot-9, 170-pound defensive back showed why by making a few big plays to help Grayson defeat McEachern on Friday night. Williams made an athletic play to pick off quarterback Bailey Hockman, a Florida State commit.

He also showed his skills in the return game, displaying his lateral quickness and ability to change directions on a lengthy kickoff return.

Williams, ranked No. 55 overall and No. 7 at his position, brings talent to South Carolina and may also convince other elite recruits to come to Columbia.

Rankings reflect 247Sportsโ€™ composite rankings unless otherwise noted.
