What Dan Mullen said on College GameDay ahead of Cocktail Party

The Florida Gators are experiencing a resurgence under new coach Dan Mullen, who has the team at 6-1 heading into Saturday’s rivalry game against Georgia.
The Gators will have to play their best game yet, though, to avenge last year’s 42-7 loss in The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.
On Saturday morning, Mullen joined the ESPN College GameDay crew and discussed some of the keys to the Gators’ season and what he’ll be looking for on Saturday.
Here’s what Mullen had to say during his GameDay appearance:
On Georgia’s defensive skill:
“Georgia has a defensive front that’s underrated. Physicality to stop the run. Great athleticism on top of that. They got great perimeter players and great secondary players. Athleticism and physicality at the line of scrimmage is most important.”
On what the Gators learned from loss to Kentucky:
“What they learned from Kentucky is how hard you have to work in practice. How you practice is how you perform and how you play. The guys started realizing the preparation is how they will perform in the game. You saw a complete change after the Kentucky game.”
On playing in the rivalry game in Jacksonville:
“There’s no feeling like driving over that bridge. There’s no game like this. When you get to this game, there’s nothing like it.”
On how this team has managed to close out tough games:
“The team has learned how to win. We trust each other. The offense trusts the defense. The defense trusts the offense. We’re winning as a team. We win games together. When you do that, that confidence builds.”
