LSU linebacker Whit Weeks has exited the Tigers’ Week 4 matchup against Texas A&M walking on crutches. The star Tigers LB is also wearing an ankle boot after suffering what appeared to be a right ankle injury near the start of the 3rd quarter.
LSU currently leads Texas A&M 28-3 with 3 minutes remaining in the 3rd quarter.
Weeks was having a good game against the Aggies, sitting at 4 tackles with 1 pass deflection before exiting. The LSU linebacker is averaging about 7 tackles per game and sits at 24 tackles on the season.
LSU has run into a few injury issues already this game. Tigers QB Sam Leavitt, who left the game with what appears to be a leg injury and later returned, is dealing with what appears to be a left leg injury. Despite some hobbling in the pocket, you wouldn’t know it from the stat sheet — Leavitt has so far thrown for 252 yards with a pair of touchdowns.
