The 2020 calendar has been full of curveballs, regardless of sport. On Saturday, we got one for the ol’ bingo card: sprinklers interrupting a college football game.

In Blacksburg, play was interrupted in the first quarter because of the sprinklers at Lane Stadium.

Russian broadcasters of the game were particularly excited. Timothy Burke shared the clip with the audio from that broadcast:

Was it life imitating art? Fans were quick to tweet about Buffalo Wild Wings, as it reminded them of this commercial shared by PFF.

The restaurant’s social media team sprung into action.

As far as the actual game, Clemson leads the Hokies 10-7 in the second quarter. The game is on ABC.
