Will Levis appears likely to make his first NFL start this weekend for the Tennessee Titans against the Atlanta Falcons.

However, the former Kentucky quarterback is taking it all in stride.

Starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill is still nursing an injured ankle and the rookie Levis has also leaped past Malik Willis on the depth chart, according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Levis, drafted by the Titans with the No. 33 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, only played in 1 preseason game due to a thigh injury. Yet, Levis insists he’s ready for the potential opportunity.

“I’m just treating it like any other week,” Levis said via Pro Football Talk to the Titans’ website. “Vrabel preaches that we prepare as starters every week, regardless of what position or opportunity we have. If my name gets called, I’ll be ready to go.”

Kentucky coach Mark Stoops recently addressed the likelihood of Levis starting with great pride.

“I just have a lot of faith and confidence in Will and great appreciation for what he did for us and what a great person and leader for us first and foremost and just wish him the best,” Stoops said. “There’s a bunch of people here in Lexington that care about him and are rooting for him so if that’s the case, I’m sure he’ll do a great job and will be well prepared.”

Levis transferred to Kentucky in 2021 and spent 2 seasons in Lexington. Levis produced 43 touchdown passes with 23 interceptions, plus 11 rushing scores at Kentucky.
