South Carolina will face one of the most experienced teams in the SEC this week in Texas A&M.
Coach Will Muschamp outlined how the experienced stretched across the roster. Muschamp noted on the SEC coaches media teleconference that the Aggies have four senior offensive linemen, a four-year starter at quarterback, and on top of that, there’s a threat at tight end, hard running backs, big girth on the outside and good pass rushers.
It primarily starts with QB Kellen Mond.
“We’ve played him four times now, he’s more of a legs guy his freshman and sophomore year,” Muschamp said. “Last year he was more of an accomplished as a passer. What impresses me the most is his toughness, he has a good command of what Coach Fisher wants from him… his development as a passer has impressed me.”
About South Carolina’s offensive line, Muschamp added, “We have run the ball pretty well all season… I think protection wise, we give up too many plays but that’s not all on the offensive line, issues at tight end, running back and quarterback contribute to that.”
Muschamp also added that Jaheim Bell is not 100 percent, but he is a guy that given the opportunity, can help the football team.
