Will Stein has Kentucky football as one of the biggest stories of the college football season, as the Wildcats moved to 5-1 after the incredible 35-34 overtime win against LSU. For the second consecutive week, the Wildcats found themselves trailing 34-33 in overtime, and Stein once again decided to go for two. Kenny Minchey made a great read, and ran up the middle to give the Wildcats another win.
Stein’s 2-finger signal to go for 2 has become very popular in Lexington, and Stein said his wife even received a ‘going for 2-year-old’ birthday invitation while speaking with Andy & Ari On3 on Monday.
“I’ve seen some shirts I guess they’re getting now, so that’s pretty funny. Actually, my wife got sent a birthday invitation for a 2-year-old, and itโs like โgoing for 2-year-old,โ as a birthday card,” Stein said.
There isn’t a more popular family in Lexington right now than the Stein family, and more success is only going to continue to make people want to see them.
The Wildcats moved up to No. 15 and have a huge road game in Week 7 at Oklahoma. The Sooners are coming off a huge upset of their own, as they scored 17 points in the fourth quarter to knock off the previously No. 1 Texas, 27-24.
Kickoff for the game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET, and the game will be on the SEC Network.
