A couple of years ago, the SEC added the Oklahoma Sooners and the Texas Longhorns to its ranks from the Big 12. Both have already made appearances in the College Football Playoff as SEC members.
Now the conference stands at 16 teams as we prepare for the 2026 season, which will see those squads play 9 league games for the first time.
