Trayveon Williams, one of the nation’s top all-purpose running backs in the 2016 class, verbally committed to Texas A&M on Thursday, according to 247Sports.
Williams is rated the seventh-best all-purpose ballcarrier in the country and becomes the Aggies’ 17th commitment.
Williams decommitted from TCU after taking an official visit to College Station on Oct. 30. The 5-foot-9, 185-pound Houston native has offers from several major programs including Texas, Oklahoma and Mizzou.
“It all started a long time ago with A&M,” Williams told 247Sports. “I’m just proud to be a part of a good SEC program. They’ve been recruiting me hard since the jump. I’m proud and glad to be an Aggie because they have a plan for me outside of football. It’s exciting.”
