A few key Alabama Crimson Tide players are considered game-time decisions ahead of Saturday’s crucial matchup at No. 14 LSU.
According to Saturday’s final Game Day Report, Zabien Brown, EJ Crowell, Jett Thomalla and William Sanders will be re-evaluated just ahead of kickoff at 3:30 p.m. ET.
Brown has not played since Alabama’s loss to Tennessee at Neyland Stadium on October 17. The standout defensive back’s injury was described as a lower body ailment by Kalen DeBoer following the Crimson Tide’s loss to the Volunteers.
Crowell also suffered his injury against the Volunteers, exiting in the first half favoring his left knee. The former 5-star prospect — lauded for his athleticism — has been Alabama’s 3rd option at running back, sitting at 32 carries for 216 yards and 4 touchdowns across his freshman season.
It goes without saying, but Alabama needs all the help it can get on Saturday against a solid LSU squad. The Tigers lack a resume win having lost to Ole Miss at Kentucky, but they boast one of the league’s best defenses and will get the advantage of a Death Valley crowd in Week 10.
The loser of this matchup will sit at 6-3 with just a few games remaining in the regular season. With Alabama sitting at No. 5, the Crimson Tide may still have a chance at the postseason even with a loss in this spot.
