ZaQuandre White has impressed so far in Miami Dolphins training camp, and the former South Carolina running back turned in a special play to score his first touchdown of the preseason on Saturday night.
On a second down and 6 play from the 19-yard line, White caught a pass out of the backfield, made a stop-and-go move inside the 10-yard line and scored during a game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
White joined the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in May, and will look to continue some of the exploits he showed with the Gamecocks. He was the team’s second-leading rusher last season with 583 yards on 88 carries, an average of 6.6-yards per tote, which was also good for the third-best mark in school history.
Overall he played in 12 games, and made 6 starts. White caught 19 passes out of the backfield for 202 yards, averaging 10.6 per catch, and he also tied for the team lead with 5 TDs, 2 rushing and 3 receiving.
