‘Zero logical explanation:’ Fans blast decision to schedule Week 1 Sunday matchups in same TV window

Sunday’s Week 2 college football slate features 3 solid matchups, including 4 top 25 teams and one top-25 matchup between Ole Miss and Louisville.
Unfortunately for college football fans, however, NBC and ESPN decided to schedule 2 of these games — perhaps the 2 biggest of the 3 Sunday matchups — at the same time. No. 9 Ole Miss vs. No. 24 Louisville and Wisconsin vs. No. 4 Notre Dame both kicked off at 7:30 p.m. ET. Washington State at No. 17 Washington, if you’re wondering, kicked off at 4 p.m. ET.
The decision not to have a noon window for Sunday’s action is confounding at best — that is, assuming the networks had the best interest of fans in mind. In case you can’t tell, that’s called sarcasm.
