Bri Ellis stepped to the plate with the bases loaded and 1 out in the bottom of the 7th inning of Arkansas’s second-round SEC Tournament matchup with Georgia.

The game was deadlocked at 1-1, and Ellis had a chance to do something about it.

After taking a first-pitch ball, Ellis did just that, smacking a grand slam to left field that cleared the bases and lifted Arkansas to a 5-1 victory over tournament host Georgia on Wednesday afternoon. The Razorbacks lived to see another day in the tournament and will next face Tennessee on Thursday in the quarterfinals.

But that wasn’t all that Ellis’s grand slam did. The line-drive shot out of the ballpark was Ellis’s 26th home run of the season, breaking the Arkansas single-season record and tying the SEC single-season mark.

Ellis’s shot heard around Athens also broke Arkansas’s single-season RBI record, so she accomplished a whole lot with that 1 big swing.

Here is the video of Ellis’s grand slam:

The SEC Network announcers set the stage incredibly well for Ellis’s heroics.

“Here’s the best hitter in the country and now they have to pitch to her,” said the announcer, referring to the bases being loaded with no place to put any runners.

Ellis took care of that with the 1 heroic swing, sending all the baserunners home along with herself and sending Arkansas into that matchup with Tennessee.
