MLB All-Star Game schedule, TV info: Which former SEC standouts are playing?

July can be the dog days of summer for sports fans. Baseball is currently in the national spotlight, and tonight is the MLB All-Star Game.

This year, the All-Star Game is being played at Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves. The game is set to start at 8 p.m. ET, airing on FOX.

SEC fans will see plenty of familiar faces in tonight’s game.

LSU fans get to continue to enjoy baseball season with a pair of former Tigers playing in the All-Star Game. Alex Bregman will play for the AL, representing the Boston Red Sox. Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes has again been named the starter on the mound for the NL.

Former Florida standout Pete Alonso took the Home Run Derby off this year, but he’s in the NL lineup at 1st base for the ASG. All in all, it’s 4 SEC alumni for the AL and 2 for the NL.
