Paul Skenes knows how to bring it on the mound, and in the leadup to his All-Star Game appearance on Tuesday night in Philadelphia, he brought it on the red carpet, too.

And the former LSU star right-hander had company on that red carpet on Tuesday afternoon, with girlfriend Livvy Dunne joining Skenes as they showed off top-notch outfits that were worthy of an LSU power couple.

Let’s start with Skenes, now a flame-thrower and 3-time All-Star with the Pittsburgh Pirates, who donned a lavender suit with a black lapel. Later on Tuesday night, Skenes would be in his All-Star uniform, but that jersey likely won’t get the attention that his outfit earlier in the day did.

Meanwhile, Dunne, a former LSU gymnast and star influencer, did her best to match her famous boyfriend with a black and lavender dress.

Skenes and Dunne were only a slice of the red carpet parade in Philly in advance of the 96th MLB All-Star Game, but those in SEC baseball circles and those who bleed for LSU athletics likely won’t soon forget how the former Tigers stars looked.

They were stars among stars on Tuesday, and the actual game hadn’t even starter yet.

Skenes, who added a National Leauge Cy Young Award to his early list of MLB accomplishments last year, was back in his element at the All-Star Game. This was Skenes’ third All-Star appearance in 3 years as a pro, so this is getting to be old hat for the guy who’s just 24 years old.

Dunne is well-known, too, and on Tuesday the former LSU sports heroes were dressed for success on the national stage.
