The 76ers selected Philon with the No. 22 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. Philon became the 20th player drafted in Alabama basketball history, and 7th under Nate Oats. He played 2 seasons with the Crimson Tide.
Philon was named to theย SECย All-Freshman Team in 2025 and recognized as first-team All-SEC in 2026. He went from averaging 10.6 points per game in 2024-25 to 22 per outing in the 2025-26 campaign. Philon recorded 725 points in 2025-26, the most by any sophomore and third-most by any Alabama in a single season.
One reason for Philon’s increased scoring production was that his 3-point shooting notably improved. After making 39-of-124 as a freshman (31.5%), Philon made 79-of-199 3-pointers (39.6%) in his sophomore season.
