With Nick Saban now long gone and the grumbling around Kalen DeBoer only increasing in Tuscaloosa, many people are already guaranteeing Alabama’s inevitable demise.

Whether that’s because individuals merely want to the see the Crimson Tide fall from grace is another matter, but while the current members of the team attempt to return the program to its former glory, Alabama alumni are still excelling at the next level.

With the NFL having released its annual Top 100 Players ranking this week, the Crimson Tide led the nation with a whopping 8 players featured in the rankings. That included 4 athletes being slotted inside the top 15.

Detroit’s Jahmyr Gibbs leads the way at the No. 9 spot, while Denver’s Patrick Surtain II slides right behind him at 10. Houston’s Will Anderson Jr. (12) and Baltimore’s Derrick Henry (15) round out those standout performers.

Philadelphia’s Jalen Hurts is the next former Alabama star at No. 56, followed by Green Bay teammates Xavier McKinney (70) and Josh Jacobs (74)

And last but not least, Carolina’s Bryce Young squeaked into the rankings at No. 98 following a breakthrough season with the Panthers.

With the program’s social media team captioning its post “The Standard,” it’s always worth noting that the impact of the Nick Saban dynasty and the Alabama brand is still felt across all levels of football.
