Brock Bowers has been making NFL history ever since the Las Vegas Raiders drafted him out of Georgia with the No. 13 pick in 2024.
On Sunday, he added to that list as he became the first tight end in NFL history to gain at least 70+ yards in each of his first six games of a season.
Bowers wasted no time making his presence felt in his rookie year, finishing that year with 112 catches, 1,194 yards and five touchdowns. The 112 catches was the most receptions ever in a rookie season, and the 1,194 yards was the most ever for a rookie tight end.
He was named First-Team All-Pro that season. The only thing that has been able to slow Bowers down during his career has been injuries. Last year, he missed five games and has already missed two this year. When he is out there and healthy, the Raiders have a guy who could be the best tight end in the NFL for the next 10 years.
The Raiders drafted Fernando Mendoza to be their quarterback of the future. When he eventually becomes the guy in Las Vegas, he will have one of the elite players in the NFL as his No. 1 target.
