With Ryan Clark out at ESPN, Monday Night Countdown will have a new face this fall.
ESPN announced on Monday that Jason McCourty has been named the newest analyst on the Monday Night Football pregame show. McCourty will make his debut in the role on Sept. 14 before the Denver Broncos face the Kansas City Chiefs.

McCourty played 13 seasons of NFL football. A standout cornerback at Rutgers, McCourty was selected in the 6th round of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans. He would play for the Titans, Cleveland Browns, New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins. McCourty has a Super Bowl ring for the Patriots’ win in LIII.
After retiring in 2021, McCourty decided to get into broadcasting. He joined ESPN ahead of the 2024 NFL season.
Clark was let go as part of ESPN’s recent layoffs, a dramatic departure that involved notifying him during an airing of NFL Live. Clark had been with the World Wide Leader since 2015, following his retirement from the NFL.
