Ex-Georgia star defensive tackle Jordan Davis was rewarded on Saturday for his immediate impact in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Eagles locked up their first-round pick from the 2022 draft for the long haul, with Davis getting a 3-year extension worth a whopping $78 million. The new deal also includes $65 million guaranteed, and it makes Davis the highest-paid nose tackle in NFL history.

Davis wasn’t set to be a free agent this offseason, so the Eagles weren’t in immediate danger of losing Davis for the 2026 season. But by getting this extension done with the 13th overall pick of that 2022 draft, Philadelphia has ensured that Davis won’t be entering the free agent market next offseason.

The 26-year-old Charlotte native will now play this coming season on a 5th-year option that is worth roughly $12.9 million. After that, this lucrative extension that’s been ironed out will go into effect, as the Eagles hope to continue reaping the benefits from the former Bulldogs great.

Davis has appeared in 64 regular-season games for the Eagles as well as 9 playoff games through his first 4 seasons in Philadelphia. But Davis didn’t have his breakout year until this past season, when he registered a career-high 4.5 sacks and 72 total tackles.

On Saturday, Davis’ stellar production in 2025 was rewarded, with the former All-SEC performer, unanimous All-American and Outland Trophy winner getting paid like no other nose tackle in the history of pro football.

With Davis locked up for the long haul now, here is Kalshi’s current breakdown of who has the best chance to win the NFC East in 2026:
