In his pro career, Burney has logged 32 total tackles, including 20 solo stops and 3 TFLs. He also has 1 sack and 1 forced fumble.

Burney played at Florida from 2018-22. He appeared in 58 games (22 starts) and totaled 223 tackles, 16 passes defended, 15 TFLs, 7.0 sacks, four interceptions, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Burney and Jaguars linebacker Ventrell Miller were teammates at UF.
