Jim Nantz is joining Peyton and Eli Manning, for one night at least.
The longtime play-by-play voice of the NFL on CBS will be making his very first ManningCast appearance on Monday night to provide analysis during the Buffalo Bills-Los Angeles Rams showdown on Monday Night Football.
But while the regular telecast takes place with play-by-play announcer Joe Buck and analyst Troy Aikman on ABC and ESPN, the 67-year-old Nantz will be knee deep in Mannings, joining the former Tennessee and ex-Ole Miss star quarterbacks during their weekly ManningCast on ESPN2.
According to a report by Austin Karp of Sports Business Journal, Peyton Manning was the one who booked Nantz himself with an invitation directly to the smooth-sounding play-by-play man who has announced countless NCAA Tournament Final Fours, the Masters golf tournament as well as other sporting events during a legendary career.
On Monday night, he’ll be talking Bills and Rams with a couple SEC football legends who went on to legendary careers in the NFL.
Nantz is scheduled to do his usual call of a CBS NFL game on Sunday, when he is set to announce the Indianapolis Colts-Pittsburgh Steelers matchup in Pittsburgh. After Nantz calls the 1 p.m. ET matchup in the Steel City on Sunday, it’ll be time for him to brush up on the Mannings before joining Eli and Peyton on Monday night for the 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff from Inglewood, Calif.
Of course, Nantz will be far from Inglewood. He’ll be hooking up with the Mannings for some informal Bills-Rams chatter for the audience on ESPN2 that seeks a little informality instead of the regular broadcast by Buck and Aikman on ABC and ESPN.
Eli Manning is far removed from his days at Ole Miss, but the current Rebels have their own star quarterback in Trinidad Chambliss who’s continuing the tradition of Ole Miss great signal-callers. Here is what the Kalshi market is currently saying about the 2026 Rebels’ potential victory total, with Chambliss leading the way:
