Laremy Tunsil is on the move again. The former Ole Miss star has been traded by the Houston Texans ahead of the 2025 season.
Tunsil is now a member of the Washington Commanders. The Texans are receiving draft picks for the 2nd round (2026), 3rd round (2025) and 4th round (2026). The Commanders are also receiving a 4th-round pick in the deal, per NFL Media insider Ian Rapoport.
Tunsil played at Ole Miss from 2013-15. In the 2016 NFL Draft, he was selected No. 13 overall. The Commanders will be the 3rd team of his professional career.
Tunsil spent his first 3 seasons with the Dolphins. He made the PFWA’s All-Rookie Team for 2016.
After the 2018 season, the Dolphins picked up the 5th-year option on Tunsil’s rookie contract. Months later, however, he was traded to the Houston Texans along with Kenny Stills and a 4th-round pick, with the Dolphins receiving 2 1st-round picks, 1 2nd-round pick Johnson Bademosi, and Julien Davenport.
Tunsil has been with the Texans for the past 6 seasons. He has continued to make the NFL’s top 100 players list (No. 71 in 2024) and was selected to the Pro Bowl 5 times (2019, ’20, ’22-24).
