Nick Chubb signs with Houston Texans, details of deal revealed

Nick Chubb officially has a new home.
On Sunday, it was revealed that the former Georgia standout was looking to sign with the Houston Texans after spending his first 7 seasons with the Cleveland Browns. Chubb passed his physical and has a deal with the Texans.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Chubb has signed a 1-year deal for $2.5 million, worth up to $5 million.

Over his standout career, Chubb has rushed for 6,843 yards and 51 touchdowns, adding 128 catches for 1,042 yards and 5 scores. Chubb was a 4-time Pro Bowl selection from 2019-22 and earned second-team All-Pro recognition in 2022.
Injuries have limited Chubb over the past few seasons. He played just 2 games in 2023 before missing the rest of the year due to MCL and ACL injuries. Last season, he was limited to just 8 appearances, returning from the 2023 injuries and then suffering a broken foot in Week 15.
The 2022 season, Chubb’s last season fully healthy, was a career year. He rushed 302 times for 1,525 yards and 12 touchdowns that season. Over 2023-24, he played in just 10 games, rushing 130 times for 502 yards and 3 TDs.
Fans are interested to see if Chubb can get back to his old ways with a new team.
