Odell Beckham Jr. reacts to release from New York Giants

Odell Beckham Jr.’s second stint with the New York Giants did not last as long as he had hoped.
After not playing an NFL regular-season game in 2025, Beckham returned to New York in a comeback bid with the Giants, his first team. Beckham made the Giants’ roster out of camp, but is being released after 3 games.
Beckham logged just 19 snaps over 3 games. He was targeted once, and did not make a catch.
Despite his disappointing start to the season, Beckham indicated to Josina Anderson that he is confident that another NFL opportunity awaits.

The 33-year-old Beckham played his first 5 professional seasons in the Big Apple. The Giants selected the former LSU wide receiver No. 12 overall in the 2014 NFL Draft.
Many of Beckham’s top accomplishments came during his time as a Giant. He was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year for 2014, the first of 3 Pro Bowl selections. He also made second-team All-Pro in 2015 and ’16 after making the PFWA’s All-Rookie Team for 2014.
Beckham had 3 seasons of 1,000 yards or more receiving to begin his pro career. In 2015, he posted his career bests in receiving yards (1,450) and receiving touchdowns (13). He followed that up with a career-high 101 receptions in 2016.
The Cleveland Browns acquired Beckham ahead of the 2019 season. Beckham’s first season with the Browns was the last time he posted 1,000 receiving yards.
From 2020-24, Beckham played in 44 games, starting 26. That stretch of playing for the Browns, Los Angeles Rams, Baltimore Ravens and Miami Dolphins included a Super Bowl ring with the Rams and a season of playing for John Harbaugh, the first-year head coach of the Giants.
