Tom Brady was on the call with Kevin Burkhardt for the Seattle Seahawks’ dominant 41-6 win over the San Francisco 49ers in Saturday night’s NFC Divisional Round game. The Seahawks are in the NFC Championship Game for the first time since 2015, the year their quest for back-to-back Super Bowl wins was ultimately stopped by Brady’s New England Patriots.
Sam Darnold, who was nursing an oblique injury, attempted just 17 passes on the night as Mike Macdonald opted for a more run-based offensive approach. And Kenneth Walker III answered the call: 19 carries, 116 yards, and three touchdowns, just his second three-TD performance.
Brady ended up picking Walker as his “LFG Player of the Game.” Walker, who spent a season at Michigan State after beginning his college career at Wake Forest, couldn’t resist engaging in some good-natured banter with the former Michigan quarterback during his post-game interview.
“I know as a Michigan State guy, we could have used you at Michigan all those years,” Brady said.
“I appreciate you, brother. Go green,” Walker said with a laugh.
“Go Blue!” Brady responded in kind.

While every Michigan fan has the Ohio State game circled on their calendar every year, for Michigan State fans, it’s all about in-state bragging rights and beating the Wolverines.
The last time the Spartans beat the Wolverines was in 2021, when Walker posted a massive 197 yards and five touchdowns. He’s now one win away from playing in a Super Bowl as a member of the Seahawks.
