Tom Brady was a player for a very long time, and he had his share of injuries, so he’s lived it personally.
On Sunday, with Brady now behind the microphone as a FOX NFL broadcaster, Brady had a very raw and real reaction to what happened to Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels. The former LSU star signal-caller badly injured his left elbow at the end of the 1st half against the Dallas Cowboys when he appeared to be stepped on by 1 of his offensive linemen, and when Daniels tried to keep himself from falling to the turf by using his left arm, his elbow bent back severely.
And when that happened, after Daniels tried to throw a crazy pass, he fell to the turf and had to be carted off the field while the rest of the players on both teams jogged to the halftime locker room. Brady saw the play and called it for FOX, and in the scary moment he let out a curse word accidentally that he immediatley apologized for.

Daniels was replaced to start the 2nd half by backup quarterback Marcus Mariota, and his status for the foreseeable future is likely in question after what happened on Sunday.
As for Brady, he immediately told the FOX audience, “Excuse me,” after his slip of the tongue with the expletive.
It was a regrettable moment for Brady that he took ownership for, and a really bad moment for Daniels so early in the 2026 season.
