Training camp brawl: New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers tangle in Foxboro

Training camp brawls are fairly common this time of year as NFL teams have grinded through the summer heat, and are ready for the next phase of the season.
NFL players also want to build some camaraderie with their teammates, and strengthen team chemistry to help them in the regular season and beyond.
For the New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers, those emotions boiled over on Tuesday. The teams will square off in their second preseason game. But at one point during scrimmages, things got chippy between the teams and fights broke out around the field.
HUGE fight taking place, started with shoving and ended with a lot of punches being thrown. Both fields were cleared. Chaos in Foxboro. pic.twitter.com/BU2YrzEVAE

A scrum broke out between the Pats offense and Panthers defense after a Kristian Wilkerson catch near the Panthers sideline. Kendrick Bourne came in and threw a punch. Wilkerson and Bourne have been thrown out of practice. Panthers DB Kenny Robinson has as well. @wbzsports

Here’s how I saw it: Wilkerson caught an out route from Mac Jones and ended up in the Panthers bench area. A Carolina coach appeared to give Wilkerson a slight push as if to say, “back to your huddle.” Wilkerson whipped his head back and said something. Immediately got jumped. https://t.co/OObFViUF2G
