Former Kentucky center and ex-NBA All-Star DeMarcus Cousins was involved in an unfortunate incident during a game in the Puerto Rican league on Monday night.

Following his ejection from the game, Cousins exchanged words with multiple fans on his way out of the arena. The altercation turned physical when one fan grabbed Cousins’ arm and then threw a drink on him before he made it through the tunnel.

From there, things escalated. Cousins was on the receiving end of more food and beverages from fans in the arena as security had to hold him back from going into the stands. Here’s a clip:

Here’s another angle of the incident between Cousins and the fans:

Cousins is in his second season playing for Mets de Guaynabo in Puerto Rico. He’s played 10 games so far this season and is averaging more than 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists per game.

It’s been a frustrating start to the season for Cousins and his team, as they now hold just a 2-8 record following Monday night’s loss to Vaqueros de Bayamon. Cousins was ejected after playing 26 minutes against Vaqueros de Bayamon on Monday night. He scored 11 points on 4-of-11 shooting and had 4 turnovers.
