Jamal Roberts strikes back with 64-yard score following Kansas’ blocked FG TD

It’s been an up and down start to the Border War for the Missouri Tigers.
Kansas and Missouri are now tied at 7-apiece, but Kansas was the first to strike after blocking a Mizzou field goal attempt and taking it the distance, 88 yards for the game’s first touchdown. The return was so long that an official pulled a hamstring running after the Jayhawks defender.

Missouri didn’t take long to strike right back, though. The Tigers score their first touchdown of the game just minutes later, courtesy of Tigers running back Jamal Roberts. Filling in for Ahmad Hardy, Roberts broke a few would-be Jayhawks tacklers for a 64-yard touchdown.
It’s been a bit of a strange game so far. Missouri has dominated the total yardage to start, sitting at 225 yards to Kansas’ 93. As for Roberts, the Missouri running back currently has 11 carries for 81 yards and the above touchdown.
Missouri is looking to win a 5th straight Border War after the series was revived last season. Kansas has not beaten Missouri since 2008, and the series currently sits at 58-54-9 in favor of Missouri.
