LSU cruises to blowout win over Texas A&M, earns 1st SEC victory of Lane Kiffin era

LSU lost a tough game to Ole Miss last week, but the Tigers responded in a big way on Saturday night. The Tigers defeated Texas A&M 35-6 to give Lane Kiffin his first SEC win at LSU.
The Tigers were in control for the entire game, taking a 14-3 lead into the half. In the third quarter, LSU was able to create a ton of separation, as the Tigers scored 21 points in the quarter. Quarterback Sam Leavitt finished with 312 yards and 2 touchdowns, and looked much more in control of the offense.
Kiffin and his staff did a good job of getting the team to move on from the loss to the Rebels,and focus in on a Texas A&M team that had beaten the Tigers by 24 points in Baton Rouge last season.
The defense did an outstanding job against Aggies quarterback Marcel Reed, as he finished 10-of-26 for 106 yards and 1 interception.
With the game against the Rebels done, the Tigers can lock back in strictly on football, and the team delivered on Saturday night. The Tigers will leave SEC play next week, as they host McNeese in their final nonconference game of the year.
