After more than 20 years, Rich Eisen is reportedly returning to ESPN.

Media insider Andrew Marchand of The Athletic reported Monday that The Rich Eisen Show is moving from Roku to ESPN’s new direct-to-consumer service in the fall.

Eisen, 55, worked for ESPN from 1996-2003, memorably hosting SportsCenter alongside the late Stuart Scott. In 2003, Eisen left ESPN to join the NFL Network as part of its initial roster of talent.

Fans of Eisen on the NFL Network don’t need to worry about missing his coverage of professional football. Eisen will remain part of the NFL Network, as the ESPN deal is only for The Rich Eisen Show. It’s unclear if the partnership could eventually lead to Eisen appearing on ESPN outside The Rich Eisen Show.

Marchand’s report compares Eisen’s arrangement with ESPN to the Worldwide Leader’s current partnership with Pat McAfee in that Eisen is expected to license his show to ESPN while maintaining ownership and editorial control.

Eisen launched his show independently of the NFL Network in 2014. It has previously aired on DirecTV, and NBCSN/Peacock before landing on The Roku Channel in 2022. The Rich Eisen Show can also be heard on SiriusXM.
