Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged, the couple announced on Tuesday afternoon.
The news comes just over a week before Kelce will start his 13th NFL season with the Kansas City Chiefs. It’s also a monumental time for Swift, who is set to release her next studio album later this year.
“Your english teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” the announcement reads.
Swift appeared on Kelce’s podcast “New Heights” earlier this month, setting viewership records in the process. Former Texas star and current Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy even received an unexpected shoutout from Swift.
The pair began dating back in 2023, with Swift often appearing at Chiefs games that fall. Kelce also attended numerous ‘Eras Tour’ concerts over the course of the next year.
Swift will presumably be present at more Chiefs games this fall in what could be Kelce’s final season. He reportedly contemplated retirement, but has said he wanted to come back for another season after Kansas City was blown out by the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl back in February.
