After wins in its first two games, Texas A&M turns its attention to SEC play in Week 3. It welcomes Kentucky to Kyle Field on Saturday.
The Aggies cruised past Missouri State 50-0 in Week 1 as Marcel Reed threw for two touchdowns, while the offense added three more on the ground. In Week 2, they blew a 24-20 game wide open in the fourth quarter to pull away from Arizona State.
Now, they turn their attention to the Wildcats, who led Alabama at halftime before the Crimson Tide surged to a win behind a big second half.
Texas A&M will be wearing maroon helmets, jerseys, and pants on Saturday. Aggies linebacker Noah Mikhail modeled the look on social media on Thursday evening:
This is a rare gridiron matchup. In fact, the two programs have played each other just three times before. The first meeting went to Kentucky, 10-7, all the way back in 1952. The next year, Texas A&M traveled to Lexington and got its revenge in an even lower-scoring 7-6 game. They didnโt play again until 2018, a 20-14 Aggies win in College Station. But the next meeting is set for just two years from now in Lexington.
Texas A&M vs. Kentucky kicks off at 3:30 p.m. ET.
