With 5 games remaining in his 2nd season, Joe Brady has been let go by the Carolina Panthers.

Panthers.com reported the news early Sunday afternoon.

“I met with Joe this morning and informed him that I have decided to make a change,” said Carolina head coach Matt Rhule. “I’m very grateful to him for his time and effort in helping us get established over this past year and a half.”

The 32-year-old Brady became a hot name in coaching circles after serving as LSU’s wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator in 2019, helping the Tigers finish 15-0 and win a national championship.

He also spent time as an assistant coach with the New Orleans Saints and and as a graduate assistant at Penn State.

Carolina is 5-7 on the season and has a bye this week.

The Panthers play Atlanta at home on Dec. 12.
