The NFL has announced that its first ever ‘Black Friday’ game will air on Amazon on Nov. 23, 2023. The featured teams will be announced at the same time as the schedule for the regular season.

“Thanksgiving is synonymous with football and we’re excited to give our fans another day of NFL action during this holiday weekend,” Chief Operating Officer for NFL Media Hans Schroeder said. “Amazon is uniquely positioned to partner with us for this game as Black Friday is one of the most important days of the year for their business.”

Prime Video began streaming Thursday Night Football this season.

Despite some uninspiring Thursday Night Football matchups in the past 2 weeks, Amazon has managed to draw an average of 10.8 million viewers in the first 5 weeks according to Neilson Media Research, 48% more than 2021s numbers at the same period.
