The featured halftime act for Super Bowl LVII appears to be locked in.

Reports emerged earlier Sunday that Rihanna was being targeted by the NFL after Taylor Swift declined the opportunity.

Rihanna and the NFL appear to have confirmed those reports with tweets Sunday afternoon.

The 57th Super Bowl will be played on February 12, 2023 at State Farm Stadium in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale.

The selection marks an interesting choice by the NFL.

While Rihanna is obviously a global superstar, she released her last record in 2016.

Could this news be a sign that new music could be on the way?

We’ll see, but Rihanna will be front and center next February either way.
