Tyrann Mathieu is in his 9th NFL season and he continues to prove that he’s one of the game’s premier defensive backs.

On Sunday, the former LSU safety took advantage of a mistake by another former Tiger, Las Vegas tight end Foster Moreau, to record his 3rd interception of the season for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Early in the 2nd quarter, it looked as if Moreau would pick up a big gain on a grab across the middle of the field, but he bobbled the catch and Mathieu was there to make the pick.

It was the 26th career interception for the 5-9, 190-pounder, who has been a 3-time All-Pro selection.

The red-hot Chiefs are looking for their 6th consecutive win, and they lead the Raiders 35-3 at halftime.
