An SEC program potentially got good news on Sunday when word came that 5-star CB Jaheim Singletary decommitted from Ohio State.

The 6-foot-1 and 170-pound Singletary, who announced the news on Twitter, has offers that include Georgia, Florida, Clemson, LSU, Auburn, Florida State, Miami, USC, Michigan, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Virginia and Texas A&M among others.

The Jacksonville, Florida (Robert E. Lee) is rated the No. 5 cornerback in the country in the Class of 2022, and the No. 3 player in the state of Florida. He has a reported 29 offers.

Bucknuts reported that Singletary visited Georgia and then visited Miami over this weekend. There have long been rumors that Singletary could decommit, but when he made his official visit with the Buckeyes the weekend of June 25-27 things seemed to cool a bit on that front.

The 247Sports scouting report gives him a Jalen Ramsey comparison.

A physically imposing defender with plenty of length. Owns a 74-inch wingspan. Has spent some time in the weight room, but should be able to only add more mass once in college. A ball magnet of sorts that has shown at the high school level that he’s capable of shutting down an entire side of the field.
