Nick Evers is once again looking for a new team.

The Oklahoma quarterback announced Saturday that he is entering the NCAA transfer portal. He shared the news on his Twitter account.

Evers appears to be looking for playing time. Sooners QB Dillon Gabriel is expected to return for the 2023 season. 5-star 2023 QB Jackson Arnold is also pledged to OU.

According to his Oklahoma bio, Evers appeared against but did not record any statistics. With only 1 appearance, Evers is able to take a redshirt for the 2022 season.

Out of Flower Mound (Texas), Evers was a 4-star recruit, rated the Class of 2022’s No. 9 quarterback on the 247Sports Composite. Evers committed to Dan Mullen at Florida on March 9, 2021. He picked up 26 scholarship offers during his recruitment.

Following UF’s hiring of Billy Napier, Evers decided to decommit from the Gators on Dec. 7, 2021. Just over a week later, he signed with Oklahoma during the Early Signing Period.
