Oklahoma will have former North Texas freshman All-American Febechi Nwaiwu for its 1st season in the SEC after he committed to the Sooners on Friday.

Nwaiwu spent time at North Texas from 2021-2023. Nwaiwu redshirted during his 1st year with the Mean Green after playing in 2 games. Last season, Nwaiwu had a huge role on the offensive line and played in 14 games with 12 starts. He played in 10 games this season.

There are plenty of 2024 signees on the offensive line on their way to Norman. Nwaiwu joins 4-star signee Eugene Brooks and 3-star star signees Isaiah Autry, Eddy Pierre-Lewis, Daniel Akinkunmi, and Josh Aisosa. The Sooners also signed transfer OL Spencer Brown from Michigan State.

Brent Venables recently lost out on Cayden Green, who decided to transfer out of the program. Green decided to transfer to Missouri after playing in 11 games for the Sooners with 9 starts.

Oklahoma closes out the 2023 campaign in the Alamo Bowl with Arizona. Kickoff will be Dec. 28 at 9:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.
