Bryan Harsin is impressed with Ole Miss QB Matt Corral, and has even mentioned him as a “frontrunner for the Heisman.”

“He’s making good decisions,” Harsin said Monday at his weekly press conference. “Like I said, he runs the ball hard. He’s a physical player. “He does a lot of things for what they’re trying to do on the offensive side. I think he’s got a good feel for what they’re doing … He plays hard every single game.”

Corral is fourth in the SEC with 273 yards per game, and has an amazing 15 touchdowns with only 1 interception. He’s thrown for at least 280 yards in 4 games this season.

Corral has had a great season in several categories.

He’s tied with Snoop Conner for the team lead with 9 rushing TDs on the season. He’s thrown a touchdown pass in 19 straight games, the second-longest streak in school history, and only trails Chad Kelly (22).

Corral is also No. 4 in career passing yards with 6,851 yards as the sixth Ole Miss QB to surpass 6,000 yards.
