The early signing period is off to a fast start Wednesday, and Ole Miss has already landed two impressive DL prospects early on.

Massive Alabama DL Jalen Cunningham signed with the Rebels Wednesday morning, and Ole Miss went on to flip a former Mississippi State commit shortly after.

James Williams is an interesting DE recruit out of Jackson, Mississippi. He is listed on the 247 Sports Composite Rankings as the No. 6 player in the state for 2018. Williams originally committed to the Bulldogs in October, but Ole Miss announced his signing on Wednesday.

Flipping Williams at the start of the early signing period is a strong move for the Rebels and head coach Matt Luke. He is listed as a 3-star recruit but possesses an athletic frame at 6-foot-5 and 285 pounds. Williams also received offers from Alabama, Georgia, LSU, and Tennessee.
