Jordan Ta'amu sets Ole Miss passing record with another huge game
Jordan Ta’amu has become accustomed to putting up big passing numbers. But now a string of those games have etched his name in the Ole Miss record book.
On Saturday in a 38-17 win over Kent State, Ta’amu passed for 442 yards, two touchdowns and also ran for a touchdown. That meant he has three games in his career of at least 400 yards, and his second this season of at least 440. That puts him in rare company as only Shea Patterson and Chad Kelly did that in Rebels history.
Ta’amu had 448 yards against Southern Illinois earlier this season, and last season had 418 against Louisiana-Lafayette.
Ta’amu entered Saturday with 917 passing yards, which was second in the SEC behind Missouri’s Drew Lock. He’s also second in yards per passing attempt with 10.5.
Ta’amu and Ole Miss will get a steep upgrade in competition next week when the Rebels play LSU.
Ole Miss QB Jordan Ta'amu sets the Ole Miss football record for most 400-yard passing games. Finishing with 442 passing yards today, Ta'amu notches his third career 400-yard game.
