Lane Kiffin couldn’t resist one more troll.

No. 15 Ole Miss suffered a 24-10 road loss to No. 13 Alabama on Saturday, and Kiffin shared his feelings in a way that only he can.

All signs were pointing to the Rebels making a statement against Crimson Tide with a lead at the break, but Alabama took care of business in the second half.

Following the defeat, Lane Kiffin shared an apology to the Ole Miss faithful:

“Sorry to let you guys down,” he wrote. “We blew that one!! Came to win and didn’t get it done. … I will miss this match up.”

On Saturday, Rebels junior quarterback Jaxson Dart completed 20-of-35 passes for 244 yards, and also threw an interception. Dart, however, had a rushing touchdown. Senior wide receiver Dayton Wade had 5 catches for 88 yards.

For the Crimson Tide, sophomore QB Jalen Milroe was 17-of-21 for 225 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Senior tailback Jase McClellan ran the ball 17 times for 105 yards and a score.

Ole Miss has now lost eight-straight meetings against Alabama. The last time the Rebels beat the Crimson Tide was on Sept. 19, 2015, 43-37.

History has not been kind to Ole Miss. The team’s overall record to Alabama fell to 10-56-2 since the teams’ first met in 1894.
