Lane Kiffin has great reaction on anniversary of his decision to let Raiders kicker attempt 76-yard field goal
It is a well-known fact that Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin has one of the best Twitter presences in the SEC.
Kiffin was back at it on Monday, quoting a tweet that reminisced on this day 12 years ago, when Kiffin was the head coach of the Oakland Raiders and brought out kicker Sebastian Janikowski for a 76-yard field goal attempt in a game against the San Diego Chargers.
As you can see below, that ill-fated attempt missed in epic fashion, but at least Kiffin was willing to give it a try. No guts, no glory.
And, he had a great response when it surfaced again on Monday:

That would be the final game Kiffin ever coached for the Raiders, as he took over at Tennessee the following season before bolting for USC less than a year after that.
It’s been a long, strange trip for Kiffin in his coaching career, but Ole Miss fans are certainly happy his current stop has him in Oxford. No matter where he is coaching, Kiffin remains one of the best Twitter follows in all of college football.
